Ian Rostron – Managing Director

Having graduated from Sheffield Polytechnic with a degree in Urban Land
Economics, Ian began working with local authorities in the Manchester area and in 1989 was elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors (RICS).

In 1990 he took advantage of a job offer from a small firm of Chartered Surveyors established near Almancil and eventually he became the staff valuer for Abbey National Offshore, helping to establish their representative office in the Algarve.

He started his own practice in 1998, retaining Abbey National Offshore as a client, and has since then undertaken a whole range of valuation work for a variety of clients involving every conceivable type of property.

Larger valuations are undertaken jointly with Abacus Savills (an official associate of Savills) based in Lisbon.

He has full professional indemnity insurance underwritten by a Lloyds
syndicate and is a founder member of the APCS (Associação dos Chartered
Surveyors Portugesa)
