Azahar is number one !
A young female Lynx, Azahar, is the first resident of the new Iberian Lynx
Reproduction Centre near Silves. She arrived from Spain on 26 October 2009 and will shortly be joined by a further 15 animals.
It is hoped, in time, to begin to reintroduce this native species back into the Algarvean countryside.
Two and Three arrive !
Edition 144 of the Get Real Newspaper reports that two more animals, Erica and Daman, arrived
at the breeding centre in Silves on Friday 30 October.
